Advertising
[the] 451 is the authentic connection to the student body of the University of Denver. Our publications are raw, timely, critical, uncensored, and pack a blast. None of our staff is paid. We do this because we see the necessity for more open spaces on campus. 451 is the space for voices and perspectives unheard on campus.
We do not steer this ship like your average college newspaper. That translates to us being flexible, helpful, and serious about our work. We do not have national space/rates because we like to keep things such as our money and readers’ money in the local community. National chains need not waste their time here.
Who will you reach by advertising with us? Our readership includes students, staff, faculty, and community members from the surrounding neighborhoods. We distribute over 1,500 copies across campus and at neighborhood businesses. 500 of those copies are placed directly in students hands (we find handing out papers to be much more effective than newspaper stands, we hope you do too).

Our tabloid is 4 columns wide. Each column is 2.5 inches wide. So, a 2 column 3.5 inch ad (1/4 page, 5″ x 3.5″) would be $70 for Local businesses/org and $35 for On-Campus orgs.

We have three banners available. All ads are posted for 21 days. The leaderboard (rectangle top right, 468×60x) costs $100. Each square (square, mid-right page, 125×125) costs $50. On-campus organizations are charged half price.
